Mushroom Season

Here is a chart of when mushrooms are in season. You can find this chart helpful when trying to purchase the best quality of mushrooms for your personal use, or for your chefs.

The Spring Season...

Spring Season is here!! This means wonderful things for your product needs and Harvest Fine Foods as well. We always have the freshest produce available to you in the market, but spring means even more and even fresher!

Spring time is the most productive time for arguable one of the most treasured and best tasting mushrooms next to the Cep (porcini or Boletus) The Morel!

"The morel is the best spring mushroom in my opinion," said mycologist Paul Stamets, author of "Growing Gourmet and Medicinal Mushrooms" (Ten Speed Press).

"The wild morels have a great flavor complexity and are more interesting to me. A lot of it is because of the hunt - you are so psychologically predisposed that they are going to taste better."

These smokey tasting mushrooms are very popular in the spring and are widely preferred by chefs and mushroom lovers all over.
